Delete Zup data

Data on your iPhone

Favorites, voice settings and memory, provider-specific hosted-intelligence permissions, and your optional profile reference are stored locally on your iPhone. Remove them with the controls in Zup, or delete the app to remove Zup’s preferences and content. Removing a favorite also deletes Zup’s saved photo copies for that favorite.

A random installation identifier and App Attest key reference used to secure hosted caption and publishing requests are stored in the iOS Keychain and may remain after you uninstall Zup. Email privacy@samkarri.com if you want the corresponding hosted security record deleted.

Hosted captions

Under Your Voice → Hosted intelligence, turn off TokenRouter or Mistral sharing separately to prevent future requests to that provider. Requests already delivered remain subject to TokenRouter and OpenAI’s or Mistral AI’s applicable terms and data practices described in Zup’s privacy policy. Zup does not save selected photos, prompts, or generated captions in its hosted database.

Social accounts

For X, Instagram, Facebook Pages, LinkedIn, and TikTok connected publishing, Zup stores your connected-account or Page identifier and display name plus an encrypted OAuth access token and any refresh token on its server until you disconnect or request deletion. Open Your Voice → Connected posting and tap Disconnect beside the network to delete that hosted connection record and its encrypted tokens. You can also revoke Zup from each network’s connected-app settings.

Disconnecting does not delete posts already published or TikTok drafts already delivered to your inbox. Delete those directly in the destination network. Temporary Instagram publishing-photo URLs stop working within one hour; TikTok publishing-photo URLs stop working within 24 hours. Both are normally deleted earlier when processing reaches a terminal state. Instagram Stories and TikTok Share Kit remain available as native fallbacks, and Apple’s share sheet remains available for other compatible apps.

Hosted security records

Zup keeps a random installation identifier and App Attest security record to protect its hosted caption and publishing services. If you cannot access the app, or want both security and connected-account records deleted, email privacy@samkarri.com. We will provide the verification steps needed to locate the correct installation without asking you to send photos, captions, passwords, or social tokens.
